Rejoice For Our Savior Is Born

The Advent season is here and it’s truly the most wonderful time of the year. Many are looking forward to seeing friends and family they haven’t seen in months or years. Some are even excited to meet new little ones.

That’s exactly the feeling I felt when I finally got to meet my little niece after nearly two years of border closure from a worldwide pandemic. Am I complaining? Not at all. But what an exhilarating feeling I felt when I finally got to hold her in my arms. Although she was no longer an infant but nearly a toddler, the feeling was still magical!

We all have felt that feeling right?

Can you imagine, what it was like over 2000 years ago when all the people in the land were anxiously awaiting to meet their new family member, The Newborn King, Jesus!

Joy, hope, love, desperation, and even nervousness is what they must’ve felt leading up to that day.

An overwhelming sigh of comfort and relief when he entered into this world.

A gasp of fresh air that filled their lungs and Jesus’ too.

Oh, that Holy Night.

How they awaited and how we remember- the Light that covers up the darkness was now here!

Let’s Rejoice for our Savior is born!!!

"For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord."

Luke 2:11 KJV

So, this Christmas season, remember to swaddle up closely to the ones you love, because Emmanuel is swaddling us- For He Is With Us!

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23 KJV

If you experienced any darkness this year, know that Jesus’ light will cover it!

Let us not forget this special time of year but remember how they anticipated him and how we await his return.

Have a Very Merry Christmas
